Brother 1634d review

Setting up Brother 1634d is easy. Just get it out of the box and it’s basically ready to go.

This machine produces beautiful stitches. Threading machine is not as cumbersome as many other sergers out there, and you can get back to your project in quick time. However, the thread provided in the machine will run out faster than you expect.

The Brother 1634D comes with many accessories, like a gathering and blind stitch feet, to make your stitching easier. The machine also works well for a 4-thread wide overlock from light to thick fabric material. Unlike many sergers, it does not sputter, snag, or skip stitches while working and gives a tight differential feed.

Overall, the machine is easy to use and comes in handy for small professional works like putting seams on a skirt or other dress. If you have never used a serger before, this is an excellent machine to start with. The instructional video that comes with it makes your work with this machine easier.

Although the machine might get a getting used to consistent practice, you will master how this ‘little bird’ works.

Is Brother 1634d really a good one? Our verdict

Brother 1643d does a great job with garments, dresses, and practically anything else. The neat, clean, and professional finishes are what make seamstresses love it all the more. It has a knife that cuts fabrics well and makes serging very easy.  And it can be disengaged if it is not needed.

This machine works at a super-fast speed, and you can reduce it with a quick turn of the dial. This machine produces a bit of noise when it works heavy, though this is hardly a concern.  If this is your first serging machine, you might need to cover it with a label.

It’s a good machine and comes at a great price.
