Brother ST371HD review

First of all, you’ll notice how easy it is to set up right out of the box. Bobbins are easy to wind too. It also has the self threader (Yay to that!).

This machine delivers solid and straightforward sewing with plenty of features to satisfy quite a wide range of demands. This machine is perfect for those who prefer the simplicity of mechanical operation over computerized.

And although it’s not as powerful and sophisticated as an industrial model, the Strong & Tough beefs up many parts of the machine for added durability and increased sewing strength. It’s capable of getting through 5 layers of canvas with no problems.

Of course, you might slow down a bit, but with the right settings, needles, and threads, it’s an easy task to accomplish for this machine.

Another great thing to mention while wrapping it up – It’s heavy enough to be stable but not so heavy to move it around if needed.

Is Brother ST371HD really a good one? Our verdict

This unit is very simple to use even for someone who is not great at sewing. Instructions are very easy to understand. Plus it does a great job with multiple stacks of fabric. You’ll be able to easily sew through multiple layers of denim if that’s something you are looking for. All in all, it’s an excellent choice for beginners and much less costly than other heavy-duty machines.
