Singer EM200 machine review
The main benefit of using this Singer machine is that you won’t have to do multi-hoping. So, let’s say that your design is meant to have a 4-inch hoop.
All you have to do is tap on the hoop at the top of the screen, and it will be put into another screen. And when your design is in place, you can tap the alphabet screen to type in the lettering and start stitching without multi-hooping.
You can adjust the embroidery settings with the help of the user-friendly LCD touch screen. And the best part about the Singer EM200 machine is that it comes with a USB stick. It lets you store and save designs for fast transfer to the embroidery machine.
I like that it comes with a sewing speed of 700 stitches per minute, so you can rapidly finish your task.
The downside is that the thread cutter isn’t as reliable as you might expect. Also, thread tension is average. You might experience a lot of tangling in the bobbin area unless you figure the proper setting out.

Singer EM200. FAQ and Troubleshooting
How to thread Singer EM200?
My machine makes weird noises, and the thread keeps being wrapped around the bobbin. What should I do?
You might be dealing with the rattling bobbin case. All you have to do is reposition it so that it sits correctly in its space. Make sure it is not damaged since this can make it unusable. Also, verify the thread path and remove any fibers built up to deal with the noises. It might be a good idea to oil the machine to prevent further issues.
Does it sew through leather and jeans?
It can embroider the lighter denim if you follow the manual and use the right settings, thread, and needles. However, heavy-duty is not its specialty.
Singer EM200 accessories
This machine comes with some basic accessories to get you started on embroidery out of the box. With your purchase, you will receive the large (10 1/4 x 6 inches) and small (4 x 4 inches) embroidery hoops, USB embroidery stick, and embroidery foot.
Plus some other accessories for machine maintenance: thread spool net, spool pin felt, screwdriver, needle plate screwdriver, seam ripper, lint brush, thread spool caps, auxiliary spool pin, bobbins, pack of needles.
Is Singer EM200 really a good one? Our verdict
I believe this embroidery machine can be a solid addition to your household if you are looking to explore this new hobby. Still, you might find it tricky to learn how to use it. This means that you should be ready to dedicate some time to practice. (Although Singer is known for their online tutorials).
On the bright side – multi-hoop feature is a very rare thing these days. And the number of stitches and monogramming fonts you’ll get if opting in for this machine is quite impressive. You can definitely explore those for years to come.
